How we work

What actually happens in your first week with GYA

Most agencies send a proposal and go quiet for a month. Here's the actual sequence we run in the first seven days, and the part after it that matters more.

When you sign with most agencies, the first month is mostly waiting. An onboarding form, a kickoff call, a strategy deck, and then a quiet few weeks while things get "set up".

We don't work that way, mainly because Brett and I came out of retail. At Myer, if a number was down on Monday, someone had to say what they were doing about it by Thursday. That habit stuck.

So here's what actually happens in your first week. We might take a breather in between, but this is the sequence.

Day 1. Breakdown

A full breakdown of where you're at. Calls, enquiries, your Google profile, your suburb, and who's outbidding you on Google Ads.

No fluff, just the numbers. A lot of the time this is the first time an owner has seen their enquiries, their listing and their competitors laid out side by side.

Day 2. Strategy

We build your strategy. Which services, which suburbs, what budget, what we expect and by when.

That last bit matters. If we can't say what a campaign should be returning and roughly when, we shouldn't be running it.

Day 3. Foundation

Local SEO and AI search work goes in. The map listing gets sorted, and the site gets structured so Google and the AI assistants actually understand what you do and where you do it.

This is the part that keeps working when you pause the ads, so it starts early.

Day 4. Demand

Google Ads up and running. Built per service and per suburb, landing on pages that convert rather than your homepage.

An implant patient and a check-up patient are worth completely different amounts, so they don't share a campaign or a budget.

Day 5. Creative

Assets created for Meta ads. Video and stills that look like your business, not stock. Social is where the deciding happens for anything considered, so the creative has to look like the place someone is about to walk into.

Day 6. Social

Meta ads running. Your highest value services in front of the right people in your area.

Day 7. Leads

SmileOX is integrated. Leads come in, get triaged and get contacted. Every enquiry answered in under a minute, nurtured, scored, and handed to your team ready to book.

This is the step most agencies skip, and it's often the one that makes the biggest difference. The expensive part was never getting the enquiry. It's the next five minutes.

Then the part that matters more than the first week

We call you every fortnight, look at the numbers together, and change what needs changing.

We still send reports, but we don't hide behind them. If a month was bad, you'll hear it from us first, with the fix.

The first week gets everything moving. The fortnightly call is what keeps it pointed in the right direction.

Is a week realistic for everyone?

Mostly, yes. Where it slips, it's usually waiting on access to an ad account, a website login or a Google listing someone set up years ago and nobody can get into. We'll tell you on day one what we need from you, so the week isn't held up on our side.

If you want to see what your first week would look like, give us a call.

Empty books give us anxiety. Genuinely.

So if yours are looking a bit light, call us. Twenty minutes, no pitch, just a look at what's going on and what we'd do about it.
